گاڑی فارم ہاؤس کے بڑے سے لوہے کے گیٹ کو عبور کرتی ہوئی اندر پورچ میں آکر رکی تو کشف کا دل بری طرح دھڑکنے لگا۔ اس نے باہر کا سنسان ماحول دیکھا جہاں دور دور تک ویرانی پھیلی ہوئی تھی اور پھر گھبرا کر برابر میں بیٹھے المیر کی طرف دیکھا، جو انتہائی سکون سے گاڑی بند کر رہا تھا۔
کشف نے اپنے کانپتے ہوئے ہاتھوں کو آپس میں مسلا اور پریشانی سے پوچھا کہ " یہ راستہ تو گاؤں کو نہیں جاتا، پھر آپ مجھے ادھر کیوں لائے ہیں؟؟ ہم لوگ تو شادی پر جارہے تھے اور سب بڑے وہاں پہنچ چکے ہیں۔" المیر نے اس کی بات سن کر بالکل لا پرواہی سے سیٹ کی پشت سے ٹیک لگائی اور ایک گہرا سانس لیتے ہوئے بولا کہ "گڑیا مجھے بہت شدید نیند آرہی ہے، اس وقت مجھ سے مزید ڈرائیونگ نہیں ہو سکتی، اس لیے رات ادھر ہی گزار لیتے ہیں اور باقی کا سفر صبح آرام سے کر لیں گے۔۔۔" وہ یہ کہہ کر گاڑی کا دروازہ کھول کر اترا اور کشف کی کسی بات کا جواب دیے بغیر سیدھا اندر کی طرف چلا گیا۔۔۔۔
جبکہ کشف گاڑی میں اکیلی بیٹھی خوف سے لرزنے لگی کیونکہ اسے بچپن سے ہی المیر کی خاموشی اور اس کے انداز سے ایک عجیب سا ڈر محسوس ہوتا تھا اور آج رات اس سنسان فارم ہاؤس میں اس کے ساتھ اکیلے رکنے کا خیال ہی اسے اندر سے ہلا رہا تھا۔ رات کے پچھلے پہر جب پورے فارم ہاؤس پر گہرا سکون چھایا ہوا تھا، اچانک کمرے کے دروازے کے کھلنے اورکسی کی موجودگی کے احساس سے کشف کی آنکھ کھل گئی۔ گھپ اندھیرے میں المیر کو اپنے بیڈ کے پاس کھڑا دیکھ کر اس کا دل حلق میں آگیا اور وہ خوف کے مارے بستر پر پیچھے کی طرف سمٹ گئی۔
المیر کے چہرے پر ایک عجیب سا غصہ اور جنون تھا جس نے کشف کو اندر تک ہلا کر رکھ دیا، وہ خود پر قابو نہ رکھ سگی اور پھوٹ پھوٹ کر روتے ہوئے کہنے لگی کہ " تم نے خود ہی تو بولا تھا کہ میں ظالم ہوں، مجھ سے شادی نہیں کرو گی، پھر آج مجھے یہاں کیوں لائے ہو؟؟ "اس کی بات سن کر المیر نے غصے اور نفرت سے اس کا ہاتھ دبوچ لیا اور اس کے قریب ہو کر انتہائی کرخت آواز میں جتلانے لگا۔۔۔ " تم نے میرے رشتے سے انکار کر کے کیا سوچا تھا کہ میں تمہیں اتنی آسانی سے کسی اور کا ہونے دوں گا، اب تم چاہے جتنا مرضی رولو یا تڑپ لو، میں تمہیں کبھی خود سے دور نہیں ہونے دوں گا اور نہ ہی تمہیں چھوڑوں گا۔" المیر کا یہ بدلا ہوا خوفناک روپ دیکھ کر کشف کی ہچکیاں بندھ گئیں اور اسے اپنی زندگی اندھیرے میں ڈوبتی ہوئی محسوس ہونے لگی۔
المیر نے کشف کی ایک نہ سنی اور اسے بازو سے پکڑ کر زبر دستی لاؤنج کی طرف لے آیا، جہاں کشف نے دیکھا کہ رات کے اس پہر ایک مولوی صاحب اور دو انجان آدمی پہلے سے ہی وہاں بیٹھے ان کا انتظار کر رہے تھے۔ کشف نے یہ سب دیکھا تو اس کے پاؤں تلے سے زمین نکل گئی اور اس نے وہاں سے بھاگنے کی کوشش کی لیکن المیر کی مضبوط گرفت نے اسے ہلنے تک نہ دیا، مولوی صاحب نے المیر کے کہنے پر نکاح پڑھانا شروع کیا تو کشف نے رو رو کر انکار کیا اور اونچی آواز میں چلانے لگی لیکن المیر نے اس کا منہ بند کر دیا اور زبر دستی کاغذات اس کے سامنے رکھ کر اس کے ہاتھ میں پین تھما دیا۔
کشف روتے ہوئے، کانپتے ہاتھوں سے اس زبردستی کے نکاح نامے پر دستخط کرنے پر مجبور ہو گئی کیونکہ المیر کا جنون اس وقت ساتویں آسمان پر تھا اور وہ کسی کی سننے کو تیار نہیں تھا، نکاح کے فورا بعد المیر نے ان لوگوں کو وہاں سے رخصت کیا اور کشف کو دوبارہ کھینچتا ہوا کمرے میں لے آیا جہاں کشف صدمے سے فرش پر بیٹھ کر رونے لگی۔ المیر نے غصے سے اس کی طرف دیکھا اور صاف لفظوں میں کہہ دیا۔۔ " اب تم میری بیوی بن چکی ہو اور اب مجھ سے کوئی تمہیں الگ نہیں کر سکتا۔۔۔ " یہ کہہ کر اس نے حق زوجیت کا دعویٰ کرتے ہوئے کشف کے گرد اپنے حصار کو تنگ کر دیا۔۔۔
جبکہ کشف کی سسکیاں کمرے کی دیواروں سے ٹکرا کر رہ گئیں اور وہ خود کو المیر کے رحم و کرم پر بے بس محسوس کرنے لگی۔ اگلی صبح جب سورج کی پہلی کرن فارم ہاؤس کے کمرے میں پہنچی تو المیر بالکل پر سکون اور نارمل انداز میں تھا، جیسے رات یہاں کچھ ہوا ہی نہ ہو، اس نے آئینے کے سامنے کھڑے ہو کر اپنے بال درست کیے اور پھر ایک نظر بستر پر پڑی کشف پر ڈالی جو رات بھر رونے کی وجہ سے نڈھال ہو چکی تھی۔ المیر نے انتہائی عام سے لہجے میں اسے تیار ہونے کا کہا اور خود باہر گاڑی سٹارٹ کرنے چلا گیا، جبکہ کشف صدمے کی ایک ایسی حالت میں تھی جہاں اس کے آنسو بھی سوکھ چکے تھے اور اس کا پورا وجود لرز رہا تھا۔
